Programın içeriği; Kuran tilaveti Yasin'i Şerif İkram Şaban ayının 14. gününü 15. gününe bağlayan gecesi, Berat gecesidir. 16. yüzyılda, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda II. Selim'den itibaren minarelerde kandil yakılmasıyla kandil adını almıştır. Ayrıca Berat gecesi, Kur'an'ın Levh-i Mahfûz'dan Dünya semasına toptan indirildiği gecedir.
